The 1995 Embassy Champion, Richie is one of Wales' greatest ever darts players.

A former World Masters winner, his greatest moment came with a 6-0 defeat of Raymond van Barneveld to become World Champion.

He went close to adding further silverware when he reached the World Matchplay final in 2001, but he lost to Phil Taylor in Blackpool.

A former Wales and Glamorgan representative, Richie has dropped out of the top 32 but can challenge for honours on his day.
