Steve is one of the most popular characters in the game, having made the transition from being 1996 Embassy champion to one of the PDC's top players.

The World Masters winner in 1993, Steve has also enjoyed success in the Opens in Holland, Sweden, Denmark and Belgium during his career.

A semi-finalist at both the Budweiser UK Open and Sky Bet World Grand Prix in 2004, he remains among the top competitiors on the circuit on his day.

That was shown once again when he reached the last eight of the 2005 World Grand Prix, and Steve remains determined to add more major titles to his mantlepiece.
