Wayne has yet to pick up a major PDC
title, but has become a huge
favourite since dancing his way into
the hearts of the nation.
Nicknamed 'Hawaii 501', Wayne is one
of the sport's greatest characters,
and he has backed that up with his
performances to reach the top five
of the world rankings.
A former England International,
Dutch Open winner and Embassy
semi-finalist, Wayne reached his
first major final since joining the
PDC at the 2003 Stan James World
Matchplay, where he lost out to Phil
Taylor.
He has also been defeated by Taylor
in two successive Las Vegas Desert
Classic finals, and he bounced back
from early exits in the 2004 World
Matchplay and Sky Bet World Grand
Prix to reach the semi-finals of the
2005 Ladbrokes.com World
Championship.
Wayne is consistently a high
performer on the circuit, and he
bounced back from a poor start in
the inaugural 888.com Premier League
Darts to narrowly miss out on a
play-off spot.
